REACH 4D PIPELINE INSPECTION – MAY 6 AND 7
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority is conducting a pipeline inspection on the Inland Empire Brine Line. The inspection includes CCTV of seven (7) miles of pipeline within the City of Chino and City of Eastvale.
PURPOSE
The inspection will look inside the underground pipeline to determine the condition of the concrete pipe. The information will be used to determine if any future repairs are necessary for this critical infrastructure.
LOCATION
Work will occur along the following streets:
Riverboat Drive between Hamner Avenue and Scholar Way; Scholar Way between Schleisman Road and Orange Street; Orange Street between Scholar Way and Sumner Avenue; Sumner Avenue between Orange Street and Schleisman Road; Schleisman Road between Sumner Avenue and Hellman Avenue: Pine Avenue between Hellman Avenue and Euclid Avenue; and Euclid Avenue between Pine Avenue and Pomona Rincon Road.
WHAT IS CCTV?
CCTV inspection or Closed Circuit Television is a process in which a specially equipped camera mounted to a mini tractor is placed in the pipe to video the inside of the pipe and record any defects found. Access to the pipe is through a maintenance access structure on the street surface.
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU
Crews are scheduled to work from 7:00 a.m. on Sunday May 6th and continue through the night until Monday morning May 7th at 6:00 a.m. The work may cause traffic disruptions on the identified streets due to lane closures.Generally, the work will progress along the pipeline alignment within the identified streets. Work at any one location is not anticipated to take more than 5 hours.
